Union Slough National Wildlife Refuge
Directions: The refuge headquarters is located 5 miles east of Bancroft on A42. Other viewing locations are along the 4 additional roads that cross the refuge.
Description: An oasis in the midst of extensively cultivated farmland, Union Slough is used by large flocks of migrating waterfowl, shorebirds, and many other species. The mosaic of habitats on the refuge hosts a wide variety of breeding birds and is especially important for threatened wetland nesters.
