Belv-Deer Recreation Area
Directions: From Webster, travel south on HWY 149 for three miles; then turn east on a gravel road. Proceed one mile east
Description: This 1669 acre area contains a variety of habitats and a wide variety of birds that utilize the area. Breeding Bird Atlas records indicate nest evidence for wood thrush, Bell's vireo, grasshopper sparrow, and bobolink (plus at least 60 other species). It appears that loggerhead shrikes, black-billed cuckoo, and perhaps Henslow's sparrow might also be found here.
