Nine Eagles State Park

Directions:  South of Davis City IA towards Pleasanton. The woods around the small lake are dense and have good habitat for woodland species.

Description:  The woods being so dense makes good habitat. Some species seen regularly: black billed cuckoo, pileated woodpecker, wood thrush, kentucky warbler. All these are regular nesting species. The park in the past was used by many people, but has since been almost forgotten because of a near by new lake.
