Description:
LeConte's and Nelson's Sparrows, Yellow Rails, and Bobolinks which are local and under pressure throughout their breeding and wintering ranges, regularly use this as a migration stop. This vanishing habitat type needs preservation for its uniqueness as well as to supply a valuable rest stop for these and other species.
