Riverton Wildlife Area
Directions:  3 miles east of the intersection of US Highway 275 and State Highway 2 near the town of Riverton. Access is from Highway 2 on the west edge of Riverton or by going north of Riverton on County Road L68 for about 2 miles.
Description:  Site holds significant breeding population of Bell's Vireo. Site has extensive wetland habitat, consisting of open water (variable levels suitable for shorebirds or waterfowl at different times) and cattail marsh. Extensive hedgerows provide nesting habitat for Bell's Vireo and other passerines. Fall, winter, and spring concentrations of waterfowl and shorebirds are spectacular.
