Directions:
From Van Meter, go south on county road R16 and go into Madison County (county road R16 in Dallas County is also county road R16 in Madison County). Just as you get into madison county, you will come to 105th street. Continue south, but watch for signs as you go since the park is almost right there.
Description:
The following birds were seen during the Iowa Breeding Bird Atlas project: (1 Endangered Species): Barn Owl (8 High Priority Species): Least Bittern, Black-crowned Night-Heron, American Woodcock, Black Tern, Black-billed Cuckoo, Loggerhead Shrike, Grasshopper Sparrow, and Bobolink.
